Leanne
Giordono Leanne Giordono, PPI Principal, focuses on initiatives that offer opportunities for youth and adults to achieve economic independence and serve their communities. Ms. Giordono has professional training and experience conducting program evaluation, applied research, and technical assistance activities. A former employee of Abt Associates, she has substantial experience conducting program evaluations for public sector and non-profit clients, with varied responsibilities including quantitative data analysis, instrument development, qualitative data collection and analysis, performance measurement, and development of policy recommendations. Most recently, Ms.
Giordono was Deputy Project Director for Abt Associates' Evaluation of
the Initiative to Strengthen Organizational Effectiveness in Workforce
Development Organizations, conducted for the Rockefeller Foundation. In
her role on this project, Ms. Giordono worked with participating non-profit
organizations to collect, analyze and report on a variety of workforce
development indicators, including program participation, and job placement,
retention and advancement. While she was at Abt Associates, she also participated
in several other evaluations of workforce development initiatives, including
an Evaluation of the National Association of Student and Conservation
Corps Welfare-to-Work Program, which was conducted for NASCC and funded
by the U.S. Department of Labor, an Evaluation of the JTPA Title III Incumbent
Worker Demonstration Funding for the U.S. Department of Labor, and an
Evaluation of the Workforce Innovation Networks for the Ford Foundation.
For these projects, Ms. Giordono was responsible for data collection and
analysis, and for reporting on findings and policy/program recommendations.
Ms. Giordono has also managed several evaluations focusing on related
topic areas including adult literacy, youth career development, education,
and community service. Ms. Giordono has experience conducting data analysis
using Stata, SAS and Microsoft Excel, and reporting the results from both
quantitative and qualitative analyses. Ms. Giordono received her Master
in Public Affairs from Princeton University. |
